Kentucky Volleyball Wins National Championship

The Kentucky volleyball program won its first national championship Saturday night, defeating the Texas Longhorns 3-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-22).

The title is the first-ever for the Kentucky program and the Southeastern Conference.

The Wildcats only dropped two sets on their path to the championship. Kentucky completes the season with a 24-1 record.

Junior Alli Stumler leads the way for Kentucky offensively, totaling 26 kills. Setter Madison Lilley had a huge night, totaling 53 assists and 19 digs to finish with a double-double. Gabby Curry also had a double-double, recording 14 digs and 13 assists.
