Report: Kevin Knox Decision “Probably” Coming Friday

Kevin Knox Sr. said earlier in the week that his son’s decision will not go beyond Friday and it looks like that is the day an announcement will be made. According to Bob Putnam of the Tampa Bay Times,  Knox Sr. says the decision will probably come on Friday.

A decision to return to Kentucky for a sophomore season is strongly being considered by Knox, who is younger than incoming freshman Immanuel Quickley. Knox’s youth is a major factor in the possibility of him returning and on Monday night, John Calipari pitched a return to Kentucky to Knox.

The comments from Kevin Knox Sr. the last few days has fans dreaming of what could be in Lexington next season. It even appears to have Shai Gilgeous-Alexander thinking the same thing as the freshman guard postponed his decision to enter the draft until Monday.

Knox has been dreaming about how good the Wildcats could be ever since the season ended in Atlanta. In the locker room after the loss to Kansas State, the former McDonald’s All-American said, “It’d be crazy if a lot of us came back. With the recruits we have coming in and with what we went through this year, next year we would be really dangerous.”

The wait until Friday will have everyone on the edge of their seats, similar to last years decision to return to Kentucky for Hamidou Diallo. Buckle up and get ready. It’s hard not to get your hopes up.
