Joe Lunardi has updated his latest bracketology projections and Kentucky is currently holding onto a No. 5 seed.
The Wildcats have been projected as a five since back-to-back losses to South Carolina and Florida. Since then, Kentucky has won three straight vs. Mississippi State, West Virginia, and Vanderbilt.
Earlier in the week, Lunardi had Kentucky as a No. 5 in Virginia’s bracket but his most recent update has Purdue as the No. 1 seed in the Midwest. He currently has the Wildcats headed to Dallas for a first round matchup vs. Louisiana and then a possible second-round battle with Texas Tech, who is currently ranked No. 10 in the country.
If this were indeed Kentucky’s bracket, they would have a possible matchup with Louisville, Arizona, or Duke in the Elite Eight, that is if Duke gets past Rider in the first round.
