The door is open for Kentucky to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament after upsets in the Big 12 and SEC Tournaments have shaken up the bracket.
With Baylor and Auburn both dropping their first game in conference tournament play, Kentucky now has an opportunity to claim the final No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament next week.
ESPN’s Joe Lunardi had Kentucky as the No. 6 overall team in the field entering conference tournament weekend.
While Baylor is still holding onto a No. 1 seed in Lunardi’s latest update, Kentucky is in the driver’s seat to get the final No. 1 seed on Selection Sunday if they win the SEC Tournament, according to Lunardi.
