Maintenance, graffiti cleanup close Interstate 84 westbound on Sunday

Crews from

several transportation agencies

are working on maintenance projects and graffiti cleanup on Interstate 84 between Interstate 205 and Interstate 5.

All

westbound lanes are closed

through 4 p.m. Sunday. MAX Light Rail will not run through this section of I-84. MAX riders can use shuttle buses between Gateway and the Oregon Convention Center.

Eastbound travel lanes on I-84 will remain open.

Portland Mayor Keith Wilson and administrators from the Oregon Department of Transportation were expected to visit the closure on Sunday morning to help road crews remove graffiti.
