Man Arrested in Drug Bust at Greensburg Motel, Large Fentanyl Seizure Reported

A man was detained last week during a drug bust in a Greensburg motel.

The Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office says Brandon Lewis was arrested after a search warrant was executed at the Red Roof Inn in Greensburg on Friday, resulting in the discovery and seizure of a variety of drugs.

The district attorney’s office says agents searched a hotel room and vehicle as part of an investigation and arrested Brandon Lewis.

According to the DA’s office, Lewis was located in possession of suspected fentanyl and cocaine during a search.

According to the district attorney’s office, investigators discovered a backpack in the hotel room containing more than two dozen bricks of probable fentanyl and a considerable amount of cash.

Investigators also discovered that Lewis had active arrest warrants from parole boards in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Lewis informed investigators that he had recently been unintentionally released from the Mercer County Jail.

The district attorney’s office said charges against Lewis are pending, although it is unknown what precise charges he may face in connection with the arrest.
