Kentucky lost a heartbreaker at Kroger Field to the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday, dropping to 0-2 on the season with a 42-41 overtime loss.
Kentucky had possession first to begin overtime and punched it in for a touchdown on a 10-yard run by Terry Wilson. However, Matt Ruffolo missed the extra point that opened the door for Ole Miss to win the game with a touchdown and PAT.
The Rebels took advantage and benefited from a pass interference penalty on Kelvin Joseph that spotted the ball at the Kentucky 2-yard line. Mark Stoops wasn’t happy about the call in real-time and it carried over after the game.
Following the game, an ESPN camera caught Stoops chasing after the officials, but the camera cuts away at the end.
