Mark Stoops Released a Statement in Support of his Team

The Kentucky football team collectively walked out of practice Thursday, starting a movement other college programs followed Thursday evening.

Mark Stoops, who walked in on the teams private meeting not knowing what was going on, joined his team and listened to what they had to say.

The UK coach released a statement Thursday in support of his players taking a day away from the practice field to come together with their ideas to be a part of effective change.

They are knowledgeable and courageous, with a passion to make an impact. They have a commitment to being leaders of character as players, students and citizens.
