Maryland Forecast Freezing Temps Tonight, Rain by Thursday, 70s Return Early Next Week

Freezing temperatures are forecast overnight, with lows in the mid 20s and lower 30s. Most of the state is under a freeze warning, with the exception of far western Maryland.

The skies will be largely clear this evening, with a strong northwest wind reaching above 30 mph. Winds are predicted to ease later tonight and early Wednesday morning.

However, there will be enough breeze Wednesday morning to cause wind chills, making temperatures feel like the low to mid-20s across the region.

High temperatures will rise into the mid-50s on Wednesday afternoon, thanks to bright skies and low winds.

Clouds will increase Wednesday night, with rain expected on Thursday and Friday. Light to moderate rain is forecast throughout the day Friday, with temperatures rising to around 60 degrees by the afternoon. Up to an inch of rain is possible by late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

Rain possibilities will persist into Saturday morning before diminishing. Sunshine returns on Sunday, with highs in the lower 60s.

Temperatures will rise into the 70s Monday and Tuesday before the next cold front, which is forecast to arrive late Tuesday and drop highs back into the 60s by Wednesday.
