M.J. Devonshire has Wrist Surgery; Could Still Play vs. Mississippi State

Mark Stoops took the podium for his weekly press conference on Monday to discuss the upcoming matchup with Mississippi State.

During the press conference, Stoops announced that freshman cornerback M.J. Devonshire will have an operation on his wrist today.

“M.J. today is having a little surgery on a wrist,” Stoops said. “He will be back, if he can. If he can manage the pain to probably cast him up and play. That hinders him a little bit.”

While it sounds like Devonshire will try to play, Kentucky could be down freshman defensive back Taj Dodson and senior defensive tackle Phil Hoskins on Saturday, as Stoops announced both are “questionable.”

Hoskins suffered an undisclosed injury during warmups on Saturday and Dodson was injured during the game.
