Indianapolis police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcyclist and a UPS truck that occurred Tuesday evening on the near northeast side of the city.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), officers responded around 5:13 p.m. to the 3200 block of North Keystone Avenue, near East 32nd Street, following reports of a personal injury accident.
Upon arrival, officers found a damaged UPS truck and a motorcycle at the scene. They immediately began providing medical aid to the motorcyclist, identified as an adult male. However, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The UPS truck driver remained on-site and cooperated with investigators. As part of the standard protocol in crashes involving serious injuries or fatalities, the driver will undergo a chemical test.
IMPD Public Information Officer Drew Brown stated that detectives do not believe alcohol or impairment was a factor in the crash.
As of now, the Marion County Coroner’s Office has not released the identity of the deceased. The roadway is expected to remain closed for several hours as investigators gather evidence and interview witnesses.
