WOODVILLE, Texas – According to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, a multi-vehicle incident on Highway 69 south of Woodville has resulted in several injuries and forced the closure of both lanes.
The crash included at least four automobiles, and several injuries were recorded.
Weatherford said that two persons had been flown to the hospital.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) diverted traffic as emergency responders from the Department of Public Safety (DPS), Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, and Woodville police and fire departments assisted on the scene.
Authorities encouraged drivers to avoid the area and use a different route, such as Spring Valley Road.
Both lanes of Highway 69 were stopped as emergency crews rushed to clear the site and care for the injured. The lanes reopened at approximately 7:45 p.m.
