John Calipari hasn’t had in-person contact with his team since they left campus in March due to COVID-19.

The university is currently putting a plan in place for men’s basketball players to return to campus later this month, according to a report from Jack Pilgrim of KSR earlier this month.

The NCAA will vote next week on whether or not men’s basketball coaches will be allowed to work players out during the month of July, according to a report by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

A program like Kentucky, that will replace nearly its entire roster from last season, needs that summer instruction time to build chemistry.
