Nick Mingione Believes UK has the Body of Work to Earn Postseason Bid

The Kentucky baseball team will be sweating it out until the NCAA Baseball tournament field is announced on Monday.

The Wildcats, who began the season ranked No. 8 in every major poll, lost their last four games of the season to move onto the bubble for postseason play. A few weeks back, Kentucky looked to be comfortably in the tournament, but they struggled to close the season on a high note. However, Nick Mingione still believes Kentucky has done enough to make the tournament.

Kentucky enters selection day losers in five of their last six, including being swept by Vanderbilt last weekend. Yesterday, they dropped a tough 4-3 decision to No. 21 Auburn in the opening round of the SEC tournament.

Despite the struggles, Coach Nick Mingione believes Kentucky should receive a bid to play postseason baseball. He also has the facts to back that up, even though they finished with a losing record in SEC play.
