The Nutter Field House field hospital will close, according to a story published by LEX 18.
The field hospital was created in April to prepare for a potential surge in COVID-19 patients. The field hospital hasn’t been used.
According to the LEX 18 story, the cost of the hospital was $6,722,800. The story also adds that UK Healthcare covered the cost of the hospital without using tuition or tax dollars.
