One Dead, Two Injured After Vehicles Collide and Catch Fire on Highway 65 Near Famoso Road

A deadly car accident occurred on Highway 65 just south of Famoso Road on Saturday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Reports of the accident, which involved several automobiles, arrived at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Officers arrived and pronounced one person dead as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Two more people were taken to a local hospital with injuries that have not yet been described. When the automobiles collided, one of them caught fire.

Highway 65 is currently closed in both directions at Famoso Road while authorities investigate and clear the site.
