Nominees for an Oregon Ducks All-Quarter-Century football team comprised of players from 2000 to 2024 have been produced by The Oregonian/OregonLive. In August, the final teams will be chosen.

GUARDS

Mark Asper

The years 2008–2011.

Asper’s accomplishments and accolades include starting 37 games for the Ducks.

He received the Ed Moshofsky Trophy from UO, which is given to the team’s best offensive lineman.

honored as an All-Pac-10 honorable mention in 2011.

played 11 games as a starter for an offensive line in 2010 that set the stage for the country’s fourth-most successful rushing offense.

NFL: In the sixth round of the 2012 NFL draft, Asper was chosen by Buffalo. He played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Bills in seven NFL games.

Marcus Harper

Years: 2021–2024.

Accolades and achievements:As a senior in 2024, he was named to the third team of the B1G. As a junior, he started 14 games for the 2023 Ducks and gave up just five sacks. Throughout the season, Harper did not give up a sack in 749 snaps.

NFL: Harper was not an NFL player.

Steven Jones

Years: 2018–2023.

Accolades and accomplishments: In 2023, the coaches named him honorable mention all-conference, and he made the AP first team as the Ducks gave up only five sacks. played right guard and started all 14 games. participated in 48 Ducks games.

NFL: In 2024, Jones went undrafted and signed with Jacksonville. Not one NFL game has seen him.

Shane Lemieux

From 2016 to 2019.

Accolades/accomplishments: Lemieux started 52 games for the Ducks in 2015 after redshirting the season before becoming a full-time starter.

Lemieux was selected to the Associated Press’s first team and the coaches’ second team All-Pac-12 in 2017.

Lemieux assisted the offensive line in leading the squad to a Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin and the Pac-12 championship in 2019. Although the coaches selected him for the second team, he once again received the AP’s selection for first team all-conference.

NFL: In the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft, Lemieux was chosen by the New York Giants.

Adam Snyder

years 2001–2004.

Accolades/accomplishments: In 2003 and 2004, Snyder, who spent his career playing every offensive line positions save center, was named to the first team of the Pac-10. Snyder received the Morris Trophy, which is given to the finest lineman in the conference, as a senior.

NFL: In the third round of the 2005 NFL draft, San Francisco chose Snyder. During his ten-year career, he also played for the New York Giants and Arizona.

Nick Steitz

years 2001–2004.

Accolades/accomplishments: In 2002 and 2004, I was named honorable mention all-conference.

NFL: Steitz was not an NFL player.

Bo Thran

Years: 2007–2010.

Accolades/accomplishments: In 2010, the year the Ducks won the Pac-10 and advanced to the BCS National Championship game, Thran was selected to the second team All-Pac-10.

LaMichael James, a running back, became a Heisman Trophy contender because to the offensive line.

Thran was named to the 2009 All-Conference Honor Roll with honorable mention.

NFL:Thran was not an NFL player.

Carson York

Time frame: 2009–2012.

Accolades/accomplishments: Prior to suffering a knee injury in the Rose Bowl in 2012, York started 36 games in three seasons (2009, 2010, and 2011).

Prior to 2012, York was on the watch lists for the Outland Trophy Award (inside lineman) and the Rotary Lombardi Award (lineman), but he never played again.

Scout.com and Phil Steele named him to the Pac-10 first team in 2010. selected as a 2009 freshman All-American by two publications.

NFL: York was not an NFL player.
