Gov. Tina Kotek declined to issue her own response to
an Oregon State Police recruiting email
for its SWAT unit that boasted about fatal shootings and asked if troopers were “jonesing” to fire less-lethal munitions launchers and set off explosives.
Kotek, who oversees state police, “echoes the statement from OSP,” said her spokesperson, Roxy Mayer. The governor’s office also “does not comment on personnel matters,” Mayer said.
