In the last days of the Oregon legislative session, a housing bill that has garnered signatures for Governor Tina Kotek has barely made it beyond the finish line.
In order to alleviate the state’s housing shortfall, House Bill 2138 expands on her 2019 medium housing measures, permitting townhomes and triplexes in additional locations throughout Oregon. The Senate approved an altered version of the measure on Tuesday, and the House took it up again on Thursday.
