Evan Stewart
, Oregon’s leading returning receiver, suffered an injury that could keep him out for most, if not all, of the 2025 season.
Stewart, who had 48 receptions for 613 yards and five touchdowns in 2024, is feared to have torn his patellar tendon, according to multiple reports.

a season-ending injury the 6-foot, 175-pound Stewart, who began his career at Texas A&M in 2022.
Stewart missed a significant portion of spring practice, including UO’s spring game, due to an unspecified and unrelated injury. He is entering what was to be his final season of college eligibility and it’s not immediately clear if he intends to redshirt and return in 2026.
“I look at him as an offensive weapon,” receivers coach Ross Douglas said in April. “He’s been playing ever since he was a freshman at Texas A&M, so he has a lot of production in his career. Now for him to become a 1,000-yard receiver, it’s just to build on the consistency and him being able to stay healthy.”
As a freshman at Texas A&M, Stewart had 53 catches for 649 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. He had 38 catches for 514 yards and four scores in eight games in 2023, after which he transferred to Oregon.
Stewart’s injury leaves Oregon with 10 scholarship receivers on its 2025 roster. Those players combined for 28 catches for 267 yards and one touchdown last season at UO and Malik Benson had 25 catches for 311 yards and one score at Florida State.
