Oregon State baseball lands transfer infielder from University of Portland

Oregon State baseball is adding a player from right up Interstate 5 to bolster its squad.

Jace Miller, a former infielder for the University of Portland, declared his Beavers commitment on Saturday. Miller is still eligible for two more seasons.

Miller, a utility player with the Pilots, hit.143 in just 21 at-bats during the previous season. However, his bat has taken off this summer with the Bend Elks of the West Coast League.

In his last nine games with the Elks, Miller has hit an incredible.556, including a recent walk-off home run. He is hitting.394 on the season, with three home runs and eleven doubles. In addition, he has eight stolen bases.

Miller, a Medford native, joins Tanner Douglas, a former teammate from South Medford High School, on the Beavers roster. During Miller’s one season at UP in 2024, left-handed pitcher Douglas was a teammate of Miller’s.
