Oregon State is the home team for this deciding matchup. James DeCremer fires a 94 mph fastball across the outside corner for a strike and we’re underway in Corvallis. … Gage Harrelson smacks the next pitch harmlessly to second base and AJ Singer makes the routine out. DeCremer retires the Seminoles’ leadoff man. … DeCremer gets ahead 1-2 to Alex Lodise, but the Golden Spikes Award finalist rips a line drive single to left. The ball scoots away from Gavin Turley and Lodise coasts into second base. … FSU has a runner in scoring position in the first. … Max Williams follows by blasting the first pitch he sees the other way, and it sails over the bullpen for a two-run homer. The Seminoles strike first, taking an early 2-0 lead. … DeCremer follows by tossing back-to-back balls to Myles Bailey and Wilson Weber will take a mound visit to chat with the freshman right-hander. … Bailey works the count 3-0, then hammers a single to right field. … Cal Fisher steps to the plate. He battles his way to an eight-pitch at-bat, but DeCremer eventually wins, striking him out. Bailey steals second on the K. … Drew Faurot hits next. DeCremer gets ahead 0-2, but his third pitch skips away from Weber and Bailey heads for third. Faurot hits a hard liner to left, but it hangs up and Turley chases it down. That’ll do it for the inning. Florida State leads 2-0.
