Police Say Speed and Reckless Driving Led to Deadly West Allis Crash That Killed 17-year-old Anthony Novak

WEST ALLIS, Wis. – A teen died and two others were hospitalized following a rollover accident in West Allis.

According to police, the incident occurred on March 22 at 5:45 p.m. at South 116th Street and West Theo Trecker Way.

On March 26, the medical examiner’s office confirmed to WISN 12 News that a 17-year-old teenager died at the site and identified him as Anthony R. Novak of Milwaukee.

Police got complaints of a black SUV driving dangerously in the vicinity, which eventually collided. When cops arrived, they discovered three juveniles occupying the crashed vehicle.

The teenager died in the hospital. The two other kids were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but are expected to recover.

The crash is still being investigated, but authorities believe speed and irresponsible driving were factors. Anyone with information about this event can contact the West Allis Police Department at 414-302-8000.
