Police search for armed carjacking suspects in Portland’s Hazelwood neighborhood

Two carjacking suspects escaped into Portland’s Hazelwood neighborhood early on Wednesday morning, and police are currently looking for them.

Officers were called to an armed carjacking at Northeast 108th Avenue and Hassalo Street at 4:00 a.m. Suspects were seen escaping the scene after police quickly identified the vehicle in the 1300 block of Northeast 114th Avenue, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

Residents have been told to stay indoors while police continue to search the area for the culprits. Authorities advise people to dial 911 right away if they notice anything unusual.
