The final Orange Julius in Portland, which is perhaps the second-oldest shop tenant at the Lloyd Center mall, is closing after 42 years.
Bob Slayton, the franchise’s owner, passed away on May 19 at the age of 82. He took his first job at Lloyd Center soon after the mall’s opening in 1960, and he worked there for almost his whole adult life.
