SEPTA’s West Trenton Regional Rail service was also halted between Yardley and West Trenton stations due to a fallen tree on overhead wires.
The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory for the whole region until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Viewers reported toppled trees across the region, with the most damage in Berks County, Pennsylvania. A spokeswoman for Berks County Emergency Services stated the damage about 5 p.m. Tuesday.

“While call volume has decreased, we now handle hundreds of minor (but significant) calls. Fire resources are extremely busy across the county, with some jurisdictions having hundreds of calls awaiting the availability of field personnel to handle them,” the spokeswoman stated on Facebook. “
If you see trees or wires down or bending, remain away, do your best to keep people away if possible, and anticipate that it will be some time before fire resources arrive. “Do not call 9-1-1 again unless the situation worsens or changes.”
Police in Nether Providence reported that the intersection near Manchester Avenue and Woodward Road was closed after a large tree fell, knocking down PECO poles and wires.
