John Calipari met with Kentucky media via Zoom Tuesday morning to discuss a number of topics about his 2021-22 team.
Calipari updated the status of CJ Fredrick, who had a minor procedure performed earlier this summer to clean up a previous injury.
Calipari is hopeful Fredrick will return to the court in the next couple of weeks. That said, the UK coach also said another UK player is currently sidelined with an injury but he didn’t name the player.
According to Jack Pilgrim of Kentucky Sports Radio, Jacob Toppin is the player dealing with an injury. The injury is a “very minor” shoulder issue that is keeping him from practice but no long-term concerns, according to Pilgrim’s source.
