Report: Marvin Bagley could reclassify and play college basketball this season

Marvin Bagley III, the nation’s top rated recruit for the 2018 class, is looking into the possibility of reclassifying to the 2017 class and playing college basketball this season The story was reported by Gary Parrish of cbssports.com and Jerry Meyer of 247 Sports.

Bagley, a 6-10 versatile forward that is dominating the Peach Jam, is believed to be down to Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, and USC. Bagley confirmed that he would visit Duke next, before visiting Arizona and USC at some point in the future. There was no mention of a visit to UK soon, which would lead many to believe that the Wildcats are no longer the favorite to land the nations No. 1 player.

The Wildcats hold a slight lead in Bagley’s crystal ball, but expect that to shift towards Duke within the next week. Kentucky fans shouldn’t be disappointed, because recent buzz is that five-star forward, Zion Williamson, could announce before his senior season begins. The 6-8 Williamson is ranked the No. 2 recruit in the country and Kentucky is considered the favorite to land the Spartanburg native.

Bagley will continue to play in the Peach Jam tonight at 6 p.m. EST., while Williamson wrapped up day two of the Adidas Gauntlet in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
