Kentucky added another guard to the 2021-22 roster Monday.
Sahvir Wheeler, a transfer point guard from Georgia, announced his plans to transfer to Kentucky. Wheeler led the SEC in assists as a sophomore, averaging 7.4 per game.
Wheeler was named Second-Team All-SEC as a sophomore, where he recorded six double-doubles and the program’s first triple-double in a win vs. LSU.
Wheeler’s ability to distribute and set the table for others offensively is the perfect fit with Kentucky’s other pieces.
The transfer guard joins Oscar Tshiebwe (West Virginia), Kellan Grady (Davidson), and CJ Fredrick (Iowa) as players to transfer to Kentucky for the 2021-22 season.
