Report: SEC East Teams “Desperately” want to Play In-State ACC Rivals

There’s still hope for the Kentucky-Louisville rivalry for the 2020 season, according to a report by Matt Hayes of Bleacher Report.

Hayes reported Friday morning that the four SEC East division teams (Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina) all want to play their annual ACC in-state rivals (Louisville, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Clemson).

The only issue is finding the other ten SEC teams a Power 5 non-conference opponent to complete a nine-game regular season, so a lot still has to happen for that scenario to work.

Fingers crossed that college football is played this season, and if it is, hopefully, Kentucky-Louisville is a game on the schedule.
