Now that the players have had more than a week to think about their futures and whether or not to return to Kentucky or enter their name in the NBA draft, decisions should start being announced in the next few days.
Matt Jones of KSR says a source told him that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will announce his NBA draft decision on Tuesday evening. SGA is the one guy that everyone is the most confident will leave after working his way into a lottery prediction. John Calipari offered 2019 five-star Ashton Hagans earlier this week. There’s a lot of talk that Hagans could reclassify, which led to everyone speculating that Calipari is expecting SGA to leave.
A set day for the announcement means he has made up his mind and most likely points towards the NBA. I’m not sure how the announcement will be made. I will update once I have more information.
