In the early hours of Sunday morning, a single-vehicle accident in the Mountain View neighbourhood resulted in the critical injury of a young woman who was 18 years old.
At 2:35 in the morning, a man who was driving a 2009 Honda Accord and was 21 years old drove the offramp from southbound Interstate 805, but he did not stop at the red traffic signal at Imperial Avenue, as reported by Onscene.Media.
After that, the vehicle crossed the centre median and collided into a traffic signal light box instead.
Despite the fact that the adolescent was not wearing a seat belt, he was pushed forward and collided with the windscreen of the front vehicle.
The woman, who had suffered a brain bleed, was transported to a hospital in severe condition by paramedics as quickly as possible.
At that moment, there was no more information that could be obtained.
An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Traffic Division of the San Diego Police Department. Please call San Diego Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477 if you have any information on the collision. All information will be kept confidential.
