Fresno, CA – A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99 caused substantial traffic interruptions early on Friday, March 28, 2025.
The California Highway Patrol states that the incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. near Ashlan Avenue and Highway 99, involving six automobiles.
Authorities momentarily diverted southbound traffic at Ashlan Avenue as crews cleared debris from the road and checked that all vehicles involved had been safely removed. Motorists were delayed in the region during the cleanup effort. Officials announced that Highway 99 is now completely open to traffic.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the crash. It’s unclear whether speeding, driving impairment, or poor road conditions played a part. Authorities have also not provided any information about possible injuries.
