Snake Rescued from Arlington Tree Finds a Safe New Home

Snake Rescued from Arlington Tree Finds a Safe New Home

There have been instances of kittens being rescued from trees, right? But what about a snake that is enormous?

There was a boa constrictor that was nearly five feet long and had to be pulled down from a limb in Arlington the previous week.

Over the course of the previous few years, David Davis, an officer with the Arlington Animal Control, has taken a wide range of animals into custody, but he has never taken a boa constrictor.

Through the use of the internet, Arlington Animal Services published photographs of Davis holding the snake.

According to Davis, “It has been the talk of the town.”

An employee of Veterans Park was the one who discovered the slithering surprise that was perched on a tree limb around the park.

Davis received a phone call from his supervisor a little while later.

“When he says, ‘Let’s go get a snake out of a tree,’ I respond by saying, ‘Snake out of a tree?'” Davis remembers him saying, “We leave snakes alone,” and he responded by saying, “No, it’s a python.” Davis responded by saying, “Yeah!” Therefore, I made my way over there as quickly as I could.

As it turned out, it was a boa constrictor that had been kept as a pet and was unable to survive in the wild.

In his explanation, Davis stated, “I certainly hope that somebody did not dump her, but they are known for getting out of their aquariums.”

After Davis had successfully retrieved the snake from the tree, he appeared to be a proud parent in one of the photographs. After some time, he decided to take care of the reptile over the weekend.

After the snake was captured, Arlington Animal Services had hoped that her owner would come forward and claim her. However, after several days had passed, this did not occur, and the snake was put up for adoption on Monday morning.

Not much time passed before the snake was taken in by a new family.

“She was in need of a good home, and I believed that my wife, my son, and I could provide her with one,” Davis described the situation.

They had already come up with a name for her.

Ruby is her name, and she is known as Ruby the red tail, Davis said.

The municipality maintains that it is never the appropriate course of action to release undesired pet snakes into the wild because these snakes are unable to survive on their own.
