According to the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office, a police shooting occurred after several individuals were stabbed in Sheridan on Monday night.
The stabbing victims, who were brought to a hospital for treatment, were discovered by deputies who were responding to a disturbance complaint at approximately 7 p.m. in the small Yamhill County city on the 900 block of Southeast Sheridan Road.
The extent of the stabbing injuries, the number of victims, and if anyone was hurt by gunfire were all unknown at the time of the occurrence, according to officials. The identities of the police officers and the victims have not been made public.
Whether any arrests had been made was not disclosed by the sheriff’s office.
According to the sheriff’s office, this inquiry is still in its early phases and gathering all the necessary facts will take time.
Investigations are being conducted by the Newberg-Dundee Police Department.
The shooting happened the day after a police shooting in Washington County’s Sherwood.
