Terry Wilson Says 2020 Season will be his Last Ride

Kentucky senior quarterback Terry Wilson joined the Kentucky Daily podcast for Thursday’s episode to discuss the 2020 season, playing with a chip on his shoulder, and his future beyond this season at Kentucky.

Last week, the NCAA Division I Council voted to give fall sport student-athletes an additional year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Football players can appear in any number of games this season and not lose a season of eligibility. As of right now, it is unknown how many Kentucky seniors will return for an additional year, but Wilson says this is his final year in Lexington.

“I would hope [the NCAA] would do that for guys,” Wilson said on Kentucky Daily. “As for me, this is the last ride, my last year. But I honestly think it was a good decision for them because there are guys who are freshmen and sophomores who don’t want to lose that year of eligibility, so I feel like it’s a good thing.”

You can listen to what Wilson had to say about the decision (16 minutes into the show) and the entire episode below.
