Portland’s barbecue scene is in good shape.
Bark City is back
from its Southwestern sojourn and drawing lines at The Heist pod in Woodstock. Matt’s continues its steady growth, with more tacos coming to Sellwood-Moreland this summer. Podnah’s Pit
debuted a burger spin-off
in a space next door.
Botto’s in Brooklyn
remains the city’s under-the-radar BBQ gem. Hood River’s great Grasslands is a mere hour’s drive away. And pop-ups and food carts fill in the gaps — I’ve been spending my weekends at Har-BQ,
the cart parked at Von Ebert’s new Boise neighborhood brewery
.
But there’s always room for more brisket.
