Three-star athlete Lance McGee commits to Oregon State football

A three-star athlete from the Pacific Northwest is headed to

Oregon State

football.

Lance McGee — hailing from Davis High School in Yakima, Washington — announced his commitment to the Beavers on Friday. McGee played primarily linebacker and running back in high school, listed at 6-1, 215 pounds.

McGee is rated the No. 7 player in Washington and No. 56 athlete in the country according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He took an official visit to Corvallis in mid-May.

He had offers from four other schools which will be Pac-12 members by the time he arrives in college: Boise State, Colorado State, San Diego State and Washington State. An offer also came in from Memphis, but McGee stuck with the Beavers in the end.

McGee is the sixth player to verbally commit to the Beavers from the 2026 class. That list also includes three-star quarterback Deagan Rose (Davis, CA), three-star wide receiver Cynai Thomas (San Francisco, CA), three-star edger rusher Adel Dorr (Issaquah, WA), three-star defensive lineman Noah Tishendorf (Lake Oswego, OR), and three-star running back Braylon Tolliver (Erie, CO).
