A Friday afternoon incident involving three SUVs on Point Lookout Road resulted in one person being transported to a trauma centre by helicopter and leaving others hurt.
The collision occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on April 4, 2025, on Fairgrounds Road, where emergency crews discovered two of the automobiles in a roadside ditch and a third on the shoulder. All three had suffered significant front-end damage.
Firefighters and EMS teams rushed to the area, treating many injuries while coordinating a helicopter landing zone nearby.
Maryland State Police Trooper 7 later airlifted one male patient to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Centre in Baltimore. Other casualties were transported via ambulance to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown.
Police are still investigating the crash.
