Want to see a tall ship pass your favorite riverfront spot? Use the interactive map below to track the USCGC Eagle in real time as it travels 100 miles up the Columbia and Willamette rivers to Portland.
The 295-foot sailing vessel — known as “America’s Tall Ship” — is scheduled to depart Astoria around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, and arrive in Portland by 3:30 p.m., according to
The Ship Report
. The Eagle’s speed and path may vary depending on conditions, so check the live map to see when it’s passing bridges, parks, or towns along the way.

Once in Portland, the ship will dock at Waterfront Park just south of the Burnside Bridge. Free public tours will be offered:

Sunday, June 8: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Government-issued ID and security screening are required to board.

The ship was taken by the U.S. after World War II and renamed the Eagle. It has trained generations of Coast Guard officers and remains one of the last working square-rigged ships in the world.
