An accident that occurred on Saturday night in Kansas City resulted in the death of one person.
According to Sergeant Jake Becchina, a spokeswoman for the Kansas City Police Department, a bicycle was heading east on 37th Street near Cleveland Avenue just before midnight when they failed to stop at a stop sign and were hit at an intersection. The incident occurred at an intersection.
Becchina claims that the vehicle, which was described as a dark-colored car of unknown make and model, was going south on Cleveland and then fled the scene without stopping. Upon arrival at the site, the cyclist was confirmed dead.
According to the data that is recorded by the police department, this incident marks the 19th fatality of the year as compared to the 38 fatalities that occurred at this time last year. There is still an ongoing investigation.
