Two Brothers Arrested for Armed Robberies Targeting Tobacco and Vape Shops Across Multiple Locations

Two brothers were arrested by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department on Monday for robbing a tobacco shop with guns several times.

The Fugitive Task Force of the department caught Darius A. Jackson, 22, and Javonte Scott, 19. That day.

There are charges against Scott for armed robbery, having a gun during a violent crime, and kidnapping. Jackson is being charged with theft with a weapon, having a weapon during a violent crime twice, and kidnapping.

Two thefts at Two Notch Tobacco and Vapour, located at 9003 Two Notch Rd., were linked to the brothers by police.

Around 8 p.m. on March 6, the first event happened: a suspect walked into the store, held a victim at gunpoint, and then left with cash and goods.

A similar theft happened on April 13 around 5:30 p.m., when the suspect once again scared someone with a gun and took their things before leaving.

The Alvin S. Glenn Detention Centre is where both men are being held.
