TyTy Washington Makes UK History with 17 Assists vs. Georgia

TyTy Washington

TyTy Washington filled in at point guard for the injured Sahvir Wheeler vs. Georgia, as Kentucky cruised to a 92-77 victory with a huge second half at Rupp Arena.

The freshman guard put his name in the UK record books Saturday night, tallying a career-high 17 assists in the win, 11 coming in the final half.

Washington’s 17 assists are the most by a UK player in a single game in program history, passing John Wall’s 16 assists vs. Hartford on December 29, 2009.

In addition to 17 assists, Washington added 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting while only committing two turnovers in 36 minutes of action.

Kentucky returns to play Tuesday night at Vanderbilt.
