Union makes last ditch effort to stop Multnomah County layoffs

Multnomah County’s

largest employee union is pushing county officials to stop looming layoffs.

AFSCME Local 88 President Jackie Tate sent a petition to the

Board of Commissioners

Tuesday, signed by over 900 union members, asserting that the county does not need to lay off workers.
