Unseasonably Warm Temperatures and Winds to Persist Across North Texas This Week

On Sunday, temperatures in many parts of North Texas reached at least 90 degrees. So far, DFW has hit 92 degrees, one degree less than the daily high of 93 degrees achieved in 1936 and matched in 1972.

Temperatures will remain moderate into the evening, reaching above 75 degrees around 10 p.m. The week will start with slightly lower temperatures, with highs in the 70s and 80s.

A dry front will move through Monday night, providing brief relief from the heat on Tuesday.

Our next low-pressure system will bring a chance of thunderstorms beginning Friday night and lasting until Monday.

It’s looking rainy and stormy, just in time for the holiday weekend. Several strong to severe storms are possible.
