Watch: Mark Stoops Talks Kentucky’s 44-14 Win vs. Ball State

The Kentucky Wildcats opened the season with a 44-14 victory vs. Ball State at Kroger Field Saturday afternoon.

Mark Stoops improved to 8-3 in season-opening games as head coach of the Wildcats. Stoops has won the last five season openers that have been played at Kroger Field (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023).

Kentucky entered the game as a 26.5-point favorite over the Cardinals. A 30-yard touchdown run by Ray Davis on the final offensive play for the Wildcats covered the spread.

The run pushed Davis over the century mark on the ground for the afternoon, totaling 112 yards on 14 carries. Davis also added a two-yard touchdown run earlier in the game.
