Oregon is
famous for its waterfalls
, but not all are so easy to find.
On this week’s episode of Peak Northwest, we explore a
hidden waterfall corridor
along the North Umpqua River in the southern Cascade Mountains, ranking the best plunges and falls in the region.
From jaw-dropping Toketee Falls to pretty Susan Creek Falls, these are all places worth pulling off the highway to see. While this part of Oregon is known for remote getaways, or a backdoor route to Crater Lake, it’s also something of a waterfall paradise.
Here are some highlights from this week’s show:
-
Susan Creek and Fall Creek falls are small, but still worth a stop.
-
Slide Creek Falls is gorgeous, but a little too hard to find.
-
Why Toketee Falls is probably the most popular waterfall out here.
-
Our number one North Umpqua waterfall has it all.
