Zion Williamson puts on a show in front of John Calipari

Zion Williamson is NOT human and you can never convince me that he is your typical high school recruit.

The 5-star high school Phenom put on a show today, in front of John Calipari and others at the Adidas Gauntlet in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Williamson, a 6-7, 230lb forward from Spartanburg, is rated a top two player in the 2018 class, according to major recruiting services.

The skills Williamson displays are rarely seen for a player his size, with the most likely comparison being Lebron James. No one is calling him, Lebron James, but when you watch his highlight films, you will get an idea of why that comparison is made, according to size and athleticism.

The 2018 class is full of special players, Williamson is one of them, and Calipari’s first stop of the live recruiting period was Spartanburg, South Carolina. Willamson picked up a UK offer during a visit with Calipari, following Kentucky’s Elite 8 loss to North Carolina. In a class full of names like Marvin Bagley, Cameron Reddish, and Bol Bol; Williamson was the first to draw Calipari’s attention on Thursday.

The 5-star forward did not disappoint, as he put on a show in front of Calipari and other coaches hoping Williamson chooses them during the fall or spring signing periods. Williamson flashed his athleticism and skill set that has turned into a YouTube sensation. The high school senior scored 31 points in a 72-66 victory vs. Team Knight, with 20 of those points coming during the second half.

Williamson got the fans out of their seats with dunks and explosive plays like the one below.

It looks as if UK fans will hear a decision from Williamson sooner rather than later. During an interview with KSR, Williamson said he would hopefully make a decision before the season starts.

Lets hope that decision is a year spent in Lexington.
