MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies are investigating after a corpse was discovered floating in the Miami River Canal on Wednesday morning. Sky 10 flew over the site just before 11 a.m., where doctors were encircling a body wrapped in a yellow tarp.
The river is situated near Northwest 28th Street and South River Drive.
According to authorities, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived to the scene of what was initially reported as a drowning.
No further information about the victim or how he or she ended up in the river was immediately disclosed.
