One person was killed, and another was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Rt. 40 near Uniontown early Tuesday morning.
According to dispatchers, the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. near the Kwik Fill gas station in Menallen Township. A heavily damaged vehicle was found at the scene after striking a pole.
The Fayette County Coroner confirmed that 23-year-old Madison Porfilio was pronounced dead at the scene, Pennsylvania State Police reported. Another occupant sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital, though their condition remains unknown.
State troopers from the Uniontown barracks are investigating the crash.
